Diagnostic Wax-Ups

Diagnostic wax-ups provide an accurate approximation of your patients’ mouths. They may be used to plan treatments in addition to simulating treatment outcomes. When creating a diagnostic wax-up, our dental technicians will create a pre-treatment model and then adjust it as needed to convey results or treatment progress.

Study Models

Study models are similar to diagnostic wax-ups but are designed exclusively to provide a record of a patient’s teeth, mouth and bite prior to treatment. This allows you and your patient to see the progress of their smile and the improvements their treatment has made. Study models will also allow you to transfer a patient’s case if needed.
